Joel is a Steadicam Operator and Cinematographer currently based in Melbourne, Australia, with experience working in both long and short form Narrative projects, Music videos, Commercials and Corporate video productions.
Playing with cameras from an early age sparked an interest searching for tools to help find ways of communicating to audiences through shot composition and camera movement. His curiosity of finding unique, yet grounded ways to move (or not move) the camera, led to his love and appreciation for the art of Steadicam.
Driven by his love of technical innovations, discovering new ways to move and position the camera in unique and technically challenging manners led to a passion for steadicam that grows every minute spent in the rig.
His love for working in this industry has led to many opportunities to collaborate with other like minded creatives on productions of all kind; live events, music videos (live and narrative), short films, web series, commercials, and many more.
